The Philadelphia Folksong Society is thrilled to announce the 59 ½ Philadelphia Folk Festival 2021 Pocket Sized Edition, the weekend of Aug 21-22, 2021 at the Spring Mountain Ski Area in Upper Salford Township, PA! As promised, we will be again partnering with Moxie Event Productions, producer of the 59th Annual Philadelphia Folk Festival and the Digital Concert Venue, to provide a fully digital interactive musical experience, improved from 2020 with your survey feedback, complete with multiple stages/streams of curated music, fully integrated chat features, campfire open mics, Zoom campsites, craft show, food and merchandise tents, and above all else: the invaluable sense of community and connectivity that comes from the shared experience of enjoying music together. But we are VERY excited to announce that in addition to the Digital Festival, we will be able to have an IN PERSON AUDIENCE for one of our digital stages at 59½ Annual Pocket Sized Philadelphia Folk Festival will be an in-person fundraiser at Spring Mountain Ski Area on Saturday, August 21 and Sunday, August 22 and we want YOU to join us for some LIVE music presented by the Philadelphia Folksong Society for the first time in over a year!
There are THREE WAYS to enjoy the 2021 Festival:
- Digitally from the comfort of the space of your choosing
- Onsite in one of our ninety-two (92) pods of up to six (6) adults
- Onsite in general admission
PODS are 10’x10′ reserved spaces for you and up to five of your friends (6 adults total – kids 10 and under are FREE!). Reserve your POD in the Tier of your choice – pricing is based on proximity to the stage. PODS will be picked by ticket-buyers on a first bought first selected basis at a later date starting in June – You Pick Where You Sit!! SEE THE SITEMAP BELOW TO PICK YOUR POD TIER!
There will be a limited number of General Admission tickets available for the 59½ Annual Pocket Sized Philadelphia Folk Festival each day. General Admission ticket-holders will be allowed anywhere on the Fest grounds except in the PODS, and will be able to enjoy the music from designated areas on the side and behind the PODS.
There are only permitted to be ONE THOUSAND (1,000) ticket-buyers onsite PER DAY, so do not miss out on this chance to enjoy live music safely with your Folk Family.
In addition, the PFS Board has decided that all in-person attendees must be fully vaccinated OR present proof of a negative COVID test from within the prior 96 hours to fulfill our mission to SECURE THE FUTURE OF FOLK.
This event will be a wonderful opportunity for us to get back to our roots (our 1966 Folk Festival was actually held at Spring Mountain Ski Area!), celebrate our incredible legacy and indomitable spirit, and put all hands in the middle to do what we do best: create a magical, musical experience for those who join us. This in-person event is a fundraiser to support the artists, crafters, the Society, and our mission.
