Instructions (With Pictures!) For How To Get Your
We want to make sure that all our Philadelphia Folk Fest Volunteers have an easy time getting their Volunteer Ticket/Registration! Follow these step by step instructions if you need any assistance!
NOTE: YOU CAN ONLY PURCHASE ONE ADULT VOLUNTEER TICKET PER ACCOUNT! (YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PURCHASE FOR ONE ADULT PLUS TEENS/CHILDRENS VOLUNTEER TICKETS.) IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN EMAIL TO CREATE AN UPPED EVENTS ACCOUNT OR NEED FURTHER ASSISTANCE IN REGISTERING MORE ADULT VOLUNTEERS, PLEASE REACH OUT TO PFS ***AFTER*** OUR SPRING THING HERITAGE EVENT ON MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND.
1. Go to folkfest.org/60th-annual-volunteering/
2. Select the ticket you want to purchase and then scroll down and click the purple “Next” button on the bottom right.

(IT WILL LOOK LIKE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PURCHASE MORE THAN ONE ADULT, BUT YOU CAN ONLY SUCCESSFULLY PURCHASE ONE PER ACCOUNT PLUS TEENS/CHILDREN/WEE FOLK VOLUNTEER TICKETS.) IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN EMAIL TO CREATE AN UPPED EVENTS ACCOUNT OR NEED FURTHER ASSISTANCE IN REGISTERING MORE ADULT VOLUNTEERS, PLEASE REACH OUT TO PFS AT 215-247-1300 DURING MON-FRI OFFICE HOURS 9AM-5PM.
7. Either choose to select more Add Ons like Parking, or confirm that you have all the tickets you need!
3. Click the highlighted blue “Register Now” to create an Upped Events account.
4. Fill out the info to create an account, (IF YOU ARE A PFS MEMBER GETTING A VOLUNTEER TICKET, PLEASE USE THE SAME EMAIL THAT YOU USED TO SIGN UP AS A PFS MEMBER) and click the green Create Account button!
5. Check your email for the “Welcome to Upped – Email Verification” and click the green “Verify Email Address” button in the email. Then return to folkfest.org/60th-annual-volunteering/
6. Confirm on the right of the screen that you have all the tickets you would like in your “cart.”
7. Check the “Ticket Terms And Conditions” box right above the purple “NEXT” button, read them when they pop up, and then click the purple “NEXT” button.
8. Optional: Add a fully tax deductible donation to support PFS as we reopen from the pandemic, then click the purple NEXT button!
9. Select the option to “Pay with New Card” on the left of the screen and enter your card information, then hit the purple PAY WITH CARD button.
10. After hitting PAY WITH CARD, the Volunteer registration details will pop up so that you can select your desired Volunteer committee and provide us with the necessary details! Please fill scroll down on that form to fill out the ENTIRE THING.
NOTE: For the questions that require written responses, you have to check the bubble to the left of the to the answer space so that you can fill it in.
ALSO NOTE: For the NICKNAME Field, please enter whatever name you want on your badge! For the COMMITTEE ROLE field, please enter a short title or N/A if you don’t have one! BOTH OF THESE FIELDS MUST BE FILLED IN (in addition to all the other fields!) FOR THE FORM TO GO THROUGH!
10. After you have completed every question in the Volunteer registration form, click the purple FINISH button at the bottom to complete your PFF Volunteer Registration!
11. You will receive TWO emails regarding your Volunteer ticket – a Purchase Confirmation email and a Staff Request email. Regarding the Staff Request email, there is no need to login to the Upped Events staffing portal now, as this feature will not be available until later in the summer!
