  • The Philadelphia Folk Festival Campground is located on a spacious farmer’s field and offers first-come, first-served camping spots. Reserved areas may be released as needed by the Camping Committee. Campers are encouraged to minimize their site footprint, especially in prime areas, to accommodate everyone.
  • Essential items to bring include sturdy footwear, a water bottle, flashlight, essential food/medicines, and your guitar.

  • Gates open for “All-Festival with Camping” ticket holders at 10am on Thursday of the Festival and close at Noon on Monday post-Festival. Entrance is by wristlet, and everyone, including children, must have one. Day trippers without a camping ticket are not permitted in the Campground.
  • Campers get a special concert, Thursday evening on the CAMP STAGE. This show is exclusive to Festival campers.
  • The Campground offers separate areas for Tent and RV camping. No water/electricity is provided to individual sites. Water is available at well stations around the Campground.
  • Generators are permitted in Heavy Camping areas only from 9am-9pm.
  • Light Tent Camping is included with your “All-Festival with Camping” ticket.
  • Vehicles and generators are not allowed in Light camping areas.
  • Requires an “All-Festival with Camping” ticket and an additional RV ticket. Only one RV ticket is required per vehicle.
  • During heavy arrival periods, RVs may be directed to a satellite lot for vehicle tagging before being directed to the Campground.
  • RVs must have 10 feet of sleeping space, with wheels chocked to prevent movement. Engine must remain off, and vehicles removed from the Campground will be denied reentry.
  • No ground tents are allowed in Heavy Camping areas.
  • VIP tickets allow camping in prime VIP areas in both Light and Heavy Camping sections. Camping in these areas is optional to enjoy other VIP amenities.
  • Free Gear Shuttles operate during normal ticket office/volunteer committee hours.
  • Unauthorized vehicles are not allowed in the Campground.
  • Shuttles run from paid and free parking lots to the Campground, weather permitting.
  • Pack and label gear appropriately for transport. No riders are allowed in the truck bed.
  • Amenities such as ice, showers, instrument storage, device charging, and tram carts are available for purchase at the General Store in the Campground.
  • Recycling and trash pickup schedules are in place.
  • Leave the Campground clean and tidy.
  • No pets except for service animals.
  • Motorized conveyances are restricted to those with disabilities.
  • No firearms, dangerous weapons, or fireworks.
  • No illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia.
  • No glass containers.
  • No amplified sound systems/large speaker systems.
  • No laser pointers, drones, or autonomous vehicles.
  • No ground fires. Campfires are only allowed in elevated fire pits. The Fire Marshall reserves the right to restrict campfires for any reason.
  • No campfires/fire pits near or between RVs or Camping Vehicles.
  • RVs must remain in the Campground. Reentry may be restricted if removed.
  • No water or electric hook-ups provided. Wastewater removal may be available for an additional fee.
  • Tents are not permitted on the ground in RV or Vehicular Camping areas.
  • Tow vehicles must be parked in designated parking lots.
  • Generators are permitted in Vehicular Camping only, with specific guidelines for operation and safety.
