Alexis P. Suter Band
Brooklyn, NY
Alexis P. Suter is the owner of that explosive and soul bearing voice you can hear roaring out of Brooklyn. A powerful and unique six-piece ensemble who artfully blend the lines between Blues, Soul and Rock music, her band is manned by the power trio of guitar phenom Jimmy Bennett, Drummer Ray Grappone, and Peter Bennett on bass with masterful Will Bryant on keyboard and piano, who lay down the heavy R&B groove. Rounding out the group is the very talented backing vocalist Vicki Bell.
Regular performers at Levon Helm’s legendary Midnight Rambles in Woodstock, NY, they played to sold-out audiences at the Beacon Theater, Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park, Central Park’s Summerstage, opened for BB King several times at his club in New York City – as well as Etta James and Johnny Winter.
Three-time Blues Music Award nominee, Alexis was nominated in the Best Contemporary Blues Artist at the prestigious Blues Music Awards, The Koko Taylor Vocalist and Best Soul/Blues Female Vocalist categories. “All Over Again” from their release Two Sides was named NPR’s “Song Of The Day.” Their song “In The City” is included on the second volume of the Songs After Sandy.
With nine full-length releases to date, their recordings have received much praise. Their soon to come album Love Always Wins takes modern roots, soul and blues in new directions.
