Dr. Dom Flemons, famously known as The American Songster®, is currently based in the Chicagoland area and is originally from Phoenix, AZ. He is the co-founder of the Carolina Chocolate Drops and received a Honorary Doctorate from Northern Arizona University. Dom is a GRAMMY Award Winner with four nominations, two-time EMMY Nominee, International Acoustic Music Award Grand Prize Winner, and was an United States Artists Fellow. Flemons is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, music scholar, historian, actor, slam poet, record collector, podcaster, cultural commentator, and the creator, host and producer of American Songster Radio Show on WSM in Nashville, TN. 

An expert player on the banjo, guitar, harmonica, jug, percussion, quills, fife and rhythm, His repertoire covers country, blues, folk, bluegrass, and Americana. Dom will provide a splendid display of original and traditional songs and stories that will take you on a 100 plus years journey of American roots music.
