Festival Details

The festival is held Friday August 15, Saturday August 16, and Sunday August 17, 2025.

On Wednesday, August 13, 2025, gates open for “Festival Camping Weds Early Entrance” ticket holders.

On Thursday, August 14, 2025, gates open for “All-Festival with Camping” ticket holders. That evening, all campers get to experience an exclusive camping-only kick-off concert.

Policies, Rules & Regulations

  • No firearms, dangerous weapons, or fireworks.
  • No pets of any kind (except for licensed/registered service dogs).
  • No amplified instruments or amplified music (radios, bluetooth, etc.)
  • No narcotic substances allowed.
  • No alcoholic beverages brought onto the grounds.
  • No motorized conveyances except for those with disabilities.
  • No Chinese Lanterns or Sky Lanterns.
  • No glass bottles.
  • No lasers or laser pointers.
  • No drums or drumming on site.

Note: the list below is non-exhaustive.

  • No admittance to camping area without a camping wristlet.
  • No trespassing on neighbor’s property.
  • No camping in any parking area.
  • No selling or distributing merchandise or literature on the grounds.
  • No smoking in concert, craft, and food vendor areas.
  • No littering.
  • No bare feet.
  • No ground fires or wood fires at campsites.

The Philadelphia Folk Festival rules are designed to ensure the safety and security of everyone at the Festival and to see that everyone has a good time. 

Venue Information

There will be port-a-potties on site.

Well water is always available in the concert area at no charge. Water stations are found near the Tank Stage (to the far right of the stage; to the right of the Craft Stage (near the entrance to Dulcimer Grove); in Dulcimer Grove; and near the Camp Stage. Water bottles may be filled at these water stations.

Patrons are also welcome to bring their own picnics as well.

Merchandise will be sold at the top of the hill at the Merch Sales tent. Merchandise will be sold both from the festival and from artists.

Lost Items: The festival operates a lost and found at the Information Booth near the Main Gate in the concert area. Found items should be taken to the Information Booth. In the campground, take items to Camping Headquarters. After the festival, all items that have not been picked up will be taken to the Philadelphia Folksong Society office.

To avoid problems caused by losing items such as phone, car keys, or hats, the Festival recommends that you secure objects in a pocket, backpack, or fanny pack; and that you look around carefully before leaving any area where you have been sitting or dancing. Carry a flashlight in the evening to check your seating area.

Lost Children: Children who appear to be alone or without adult supervision at the Festival will be taken to the Information Booth and announcements seeking parents will be made from the stages.

Lost Adults: The Festival recommends that groups arrange specific meeting spots and times during the day and evening. Remember, there is minimal lighting at the Festival during the evening.

Front section of the hill:
Blankets, tarps, and low-sitting beach chairs.

Higher section:
All other chair types and umbrellas for shade.
